Lost 100 gift coupons.

I was going to send my main hero out to a spot that took 15,860 food. So I had 135 Gift coupons (GC) I loaded my main hero up to 110,000 food which cost 100 GC. When I sent him out I wanted to accurate arrival when I halted (never returned to city) him to accurate to the spot. He was in my city and I lost the 100,000 food he had stored. So I wasted my 100 GC for nothing.

Can i be compensated for the game mechanic lying?
